Meet Our Founder:
Maya Cobb is a doctoral candidate at Oakland University, specializing in intergenerational trauma and its impact on self-concept development. As the founder of Journey to Clarity Counseling, she created a space where clients, therapists, and staff can show up as their authentic selves. She firmly believes that your diagnosis does not define you and, while Journey to Clarity accepts most major insurances and requires a diagnosis, she ensures that clinicians take a non-pathological, holistic approach to care. Her practice is dedicated to providing compassionate, culturally sensitive mental health services, integrating approaches like Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy to support healing and lasting personal growth.
