Hi, I’m Aramis. I am a clinical mental health counseling intern under the direct supervision of Dr. Maya Cobb. I’m currently completing my graduate studies at Spring Arbor University and am on track to become a Limited Licensed Counselor. I’m passionate about supporting clients from all walks of life and creating a safe, affirming space for healing. I offer therapy sessions for individuals with Medicaid, as well as reduced-rate and free sessions for those who qualify.
I am a compassionate, empathetic, and sometimes irreverent therapist-in-training, deeply committed to creating a safe and affirming space for healing. As a BIPOC therapist, I recognize the importance of cultural competency and humility, especially when working with Black women, the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals impacted by poverty. I believe in a holistic, client-centered approach that prioritizes authenticity, advocacy, and empowerment. My goal is to foster healing that extends beyond therapy—a ripple effect of kindness, compassion, and self-discovery. While I’m still shaping my unique style, I know that therapy should be accessible, inclusive, and affirming. Outside of therapy, I find joy in fiber arts like crochet, knitting, sewing, and lace-making, which remind me of the patience and care needed for growth—both in craft and in healing.
